While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

CONGRATULATIONS to all the new Sailors and their families!! Safe travels to all to an awesome PIR~~
Remember, PIR is just the beginning of the Navy journey. Keep plugged into Navy for Moms where there are groups for A school, C school, ratings (jobs), bases, ships, states, regional, twins and multiples, and the Christian Chat that I am a part of!
Also, the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page on Facebook puts up photos from each PIR. If you see your Sailor in a pic or more, you can download it to your own computer by either clicking on the picture, going down to Options and downloading it OR right click, "Save Picture As" to a file on your computer~~

The new sailor who died is Andrew Adams, from Sarasota FL. His name was just released by the Navy. 20 yrs old. All I can think of is that he must have just given his family the I'm a Sailor call....and then this. So very very sad.....lots of prayers for that family and for his shipmates/RDCs.

LoLo'sMom: If you did not get a call from her last week saying she didn't pass her final PFA, I would try not to worry. Not sure why she didn't call, but if she had made the PFA call, then you would not go to PIR unless she called again that she had passed. If you didn't get that call, I would plan to travel to PIR as planned. Be sure to check her Facebook page if she has one to see if she posted there. Could she have called anyone else?

LoLo's Mom: I wish I knew (we are in 036), but I have seen on here that;
1) sometimes they can't call with the rest of the group because they have duty during the call time.
2) No news is good news, so if there was something preventing her from PIR, you would likely have received a scripted call.
3) If for some reason she had to re-take BS21, then the group from last night is just now calling. Just got one.

anyones SR from ship 11 div 031?? Please tell me anything. if you know if some haven't gotten their call yet. I'm starting to worry.
