Bug5280- that is a great idea! I can't wait to see everyone. It has been a whirlwind! I got back to CT Friday night and I will be leaving again on Thursday. If anyone's SR's will be going to Groton, CT for A School. I am only a few minutes away if they ever need anything and I can give you my contact information.

Good morning everyone! Just a few notes from what I learned last week from the 11/26 PIR. The Sarge's Meet & Greet was a blast. It is helpful to put "nfm" on your name tag so others know you were on this website. We got to GL a day early and were able to spend some time driving around and getting acclimated (I am not very good at this so I needed the extra time to get lost).

Get to the RTC gate early if you want a good seat. The gate opens at 6:30AM - we were there at 5:45. We stopped at McDonalds near our hotel and grabbed breakfast and coffee to go. We were able to get second row bleacher seats so it was easy for our SR to see us and for us to see him.

Best of luck to all of our SR's. I am pretty confident I will be getting a phone call tomorrow afternoon.

aossanna:  Div 37 was one of the winners of Captains Cup, but there would have been another winner also.  There is an all-male division winner and an integrated (male/female) winner.  Also a motivational chant winner, but many times, that goes to one of the other 2 winners.

SailorMom11.  Your writing is excellent.   Thank you for sharing.   It is helpful to know others are feeling the same way.    We've all come a long way in 2 months but that doesn't mean we miss our SR's any less.   Less than a week. yay.

Has anyone heard who won the Captain's Cup today?

And, remember....the Gate Pass is only needed by those who plan to drive on base.  If taking a shuttle from a hotel or parking off base at the train station right past RTC, you do not need the Gate Pass.

Those of you attending Sarge's Meet & Greet, please make sure you have RSVPd him (if you haven't already), so he knows how many are attending~~  His Meet & Greet is under the Events section on the lower left of this page.  Go to the Will Attend, click on that, then go down to the Comments section to put in the number of your party~
