TysMom: Have you checked the Holiday Leave after PIR graduation discussion above? There may be info on there about it. Betsy has been very on top of this. I haven't looked in there lately but check it out and see if you get some answers there.

When do the travel arrangements need to be made and in what form do we get that to our recruits to pass on. I understand they have to be approved? Also, thru a letter to his brother, my recruit said that he has to be at ASchool on the 23rd. His leave is through the 28th (although I do know they need to report early, I did think it was just a day). Can anyone share their knowledge?

I don't know, I'll ask my son-in-law in the morning. Nite, nite.

I have seen mentioned a couple of other places about the travel plans needing to be done by Dec 7. Is that true?

Wendi, we got a letter today. It sounds like the RDCs are really very effective and do what it takes to get the SRs to pass. I'm sure your letter will come tomorrow. We are very lucky to be getting our SRs back home for the holidays. Most aren't able to come home for a long time after enlisting.

My husband got a letter today. H said she wrote one to each of us but I didn't get mine yet. He shared his with me so that is good. She apologized to him for not spending more time with him before she left and that when she is home she wants to go for a walk in the park with him.
She said that their RDC made a deal with them that if they don't eat dessert for a while they will take them to the taco bell or pizza hut that are on base. She said she can't wait to have a Starbucks.
