Kathy, reading your post made me so sad...you have been such a great leader of this group and I know that it tugs at your heartstrings that your son is so disappointed. Every time I see this happen to a recruit at bc, I get sad...but know that there is something "better" and different out there for him/her....

Hoping for nothing but the best for your son, Kathy....let's pray now that they get him home before Thanksgiving so he can be surrounded by family. Praying for your family and the transition for your son.
Faith=trusting without understanding
May you all have that faith and trust Him for what lies ahead for your son.
God Bless You guys!

Can't top what Betsy said - ditto; thinking of you Kathy. Please pass onto B that I/we are so so sorry that his BC experience isn't as he had hoped and that we know God has another plan for him that will soon make sense; I am praying for his healing, both mind and body. Virtual BIG BIG (HUGS) to you my friend.

Kathy, ((hugs)) and kisses to you and your son. I hope that he has been able to get some relief from the pain and is healing well. I can only imagine how painful this is in more ways than one. ((hugs)) You and your son are part of our family and we love you. My prayers are with both of you. You have been such a big part of our strength and comfort on here and I truly do value your friendship. You are so strong and I know your love, support and comfort will help your son in having the strength to get through this.

I will do the best I can with the group. Thank you so much for your confidence in me. Your words are very kind.

Good morning, Ladies, I have some sad news to report regarding my son. Saturday he was sent to Ship 5 for a medical discharge. He had been having many problems with his feet and was diagnosed with “Flat Feet”. The Navy did all they could to alleviate the blisters and pain in his feet but in the end nothing helped. My son is heartbroken but understands why he needs to be discharged from the Navy. He is able to call me every day now and will be coming home in 10 to 20 days. I just wanted to mention my son signed up for the depper program in May, passed his IFA, and ran almost every day before going to Boot Camp. He never had any problems with blisters or foot pain in all that time. I guess there are just some things you just can’t prepare for.

It has been an honor and pleasure to be here on this site supporting each other and sharing this journey with you. I feel we have all grown into a wonderful loving family and I am so sad that I won’t be meeting you at PIR. Thank you all for the love and kindness you have shown me in these many months. We have shared so much love, tears, fears, fun, frustrations, and laughter here. I am so happy to have met each and every one of you and I am so proud of you and your recruits. Even though I am no longer a “navy mom” I am still a mom and a friend and I am as proud of your children as if they were my own. I will still be around here supporting and helping you any way I can. Betsy is now going to be your group administrator and she will do a bang up job. Love and God Bless you all. Kathy

Good morning, I see y'all have been busy!

Terry-T, the laptop bag must be plain black if he ever intends to carry it in uniform. If not, he can use the old one.
