Would the group like a discussion on the emotional highs and lows and weird detours of the minds new sailors after PIR? There can be some odd thumps and bumps, and knowing what may be in store, why they have such strict liberty rules, and the wide range of normal for new sailors may be useful. These sailors will be in a fairly unique situation by going directly on leave rather than be restricted and eased back into their civilian privileges. It can be an odd transitional time.

Or is it too early yet?

Lolo...saw your question...they do carry a flag...and you if you any of your recruits ask about the crazy woman on a scooter, leaning over so far her head was practicaly on the ground that she almost tipped over trying to look at something, just smile and nod and say...oh that was just another crazy Navy For Moms woman checking up on our sailors for us....lol

I got my call today, too. She was happy and excited. She is back in action and ready to kick butt. She has to make up the swim test and and PT. She also said they have a test next week and inspection. She also said she might get adopted by one of the girls' families from her division that live in Michigan. She said she can call again that day.

Patti - so neat they know one another; I didn't get a chance to ask A, but had sent A S's full name sooooooo I am pretty happy they have met; Ash mentioned that A said he had received "10 lbs of mail yesterday." It took him 2 hours to get through it all last night.
