I call auto insurance yesterday and they didn't actually take H off of the policy, they just took her off as primary driver on any cars. I saved me almost $50/mo. They just added a note that she is in military. I can reactivate her when the time comes.

Ladies, one more thing, in addition to Dianne's suggestion, is that you may want to go back on the comments that you posted, on your groups, and delete the post all together. (you can't edit, at this point). There may be many posts, but it's worth it to keep your child secure. I did that and also went back on my profile page and took his name off of there.

Ladies, just a reminder. It is better not to use your recruit's first names on here, in your screen name or posts. For security reasons if they are in a high security rate, but also because this is a public site and can be read by the "powers that be" working with your recruits. Best not to draw attention to them. I know several moms who got off the site because of things they posted that were easy to trace to their recruit by name, and the recruit paid the price. SO please be careful...better to refer to your recruit by first initial if you want, OR by "my son, daughter, hubby, wife, gf, bf, etc". I stll refer to mine as "my son" and he is stationed. Just for security purposes.

LoLo: I cancelled my son's insurance when he went to bc....but he had his own policy. More expensive...I guess your recruiter told you to keep your recruit's on your family policy because it is not as expensive and, God forbid, just in case your recruit is sent home from bc.

Dear Stacy and Penny - great you received your letters! My SR's letter envelope and the other form letter fields, except his note to us, was in capital letters and also VERY neat. It was addressed "Dear MOTHER." Mother? I've never been a mother, only a MOM - maybe Mommy when they were litte. Thought is was nice actually. Lynne - Look for 024!!! Enjoy your PIR weekend girl - you deserve it!!! How can you tell what DIV they are? Do they carry a flag or something?

Hi everyone, I finally got my Form Letter today. I was actually impressed with the handwriting on the envelope. It looked as if he were coached on how to write because it was all in caps, my sons handwriting is horrible normally. The note he wrote was that he was sorry he didn't call when he got to bootcamp but that he is "doing just fine" and that he will be playing the Tenor Saxaphone in the Triple Threat Band at graduation. Yay!! and to say hi to everyone especially his girlfriend.
It was so nice to see his handwriting and know it was really him writing it. I have mailed him 4 letters so far and my other kids have each mailed him a few, and there is no telling how many his girlfriend has sent. I hope he feels the love!!
