I got my box last night YAY. Still no letter, and I still don't know what division:(. Hopefully today for the letter. No note of course with her I didn't expect one LOL. Also no rolled up pants, she wore basketball shorts LOL. Being patient and waiting is definatley not one of my strong traits. Her dog wouldn't get off her jacket when I laid it on the floor. She misses her as I do.
Heidi's mom- I'm so sorry to hear that she is hurt and having a hard time. I hope and pray it turns around for her.

The Navy is going to push our future sailors physically and mentally... so what she thinks is pain might be what the Navy see's as weakness and will push her through it. They will take care of her and make sure it is not getting worse.. keep sending her encouraging letters FOR SURE! If it gets bad enough they will let her rest to heal or send her home. I am sorry to hear that she is hurting.. our hearts all go out to you!

Wendi, I have heard that they do everything they can to encourage the kids to stay there. I'm sure that they are taking really good care of her. My prayers are with her. ((hugs)) to you.

Hooray, I got the box today. Rolled up pants, smelly shoes, cell phone, but no note either. I did turn his phone on and it made me smile seeing my number the last one in his caller ID before he had to turn it off. Now just waiting on the letter with the PIR, though thanks to all of you I know it is 12/17.

I can't say enough how I love this site.

I agree, they are functioning as a team, so if one is down they all are. I knew the times would be tough with illness and injuries. It is just so tough to have it confirmed!! I kept bugging him to take extra vitamins to build up his immunity, I hope to heck he did...hard when he wasn't even living with me.

I think this is why the countdown clock is SO important, the time does go by really fast, and the first four weeks are supposed to be the worst!! I need to get Ian's address out to some of his friends...

I think we are ALL pretty special!! I hope the other kids have people worrying about them...so many of the kids at MEPS had no one there. only two families attended.. :-( I have sent I some stuff to share with one of his friends who went in with him. stamps and phone card, cuz I don't think he had any.

I have been having RAOC all day!! mostly as I drive from one place to another. It's a nice quiet, private place to fall apart. Of course, the other drivers may wonder!!! LOL
