Hi everyone, I hope you all are having a great day. I got a message asking me to post the pics of the ribbons again but instead of posting them again I will just let you know right now they are on page 22. Or 18 pages from the last page, or I guess depending on how you look at it, from the first page. lol Are you confused? I hope not. I think the pink scarf idea is great also. I am sure many of you will want both lol. For the ribbons, the pin comes off the back when you are finished wearing it so you can put it in your sailors Navy Scrapbook. If you plan on making a scrapbook of this journey let me know and I will send you some info on some coll embellishments.

If your sailor is in a 900 div they are in the performing div and depending on what their job in that div is you may get to see them in photos before you go to PIR. The Choir, Band, and flag ppl often preform at 1 or 2 PIR's before their own and sometime even preform off base like in parades. You may get a sneak peak :-)

Mary - you got it - whoot whoot! My SR's GF cried when we opened ours - she stole his shirt to keep. He planned ahead and put a note in his jeans pocket for her. My SR folded his stuff; pants were rolled up but folded. He never folded anything at home - I think my years of trying to train him is sinking in - ya think?

Woot I got my box today... keep your heads up ladies. The worst is here.. we are without our sailors and having to cope to life without constant communication.. once we adjust like we are currently forced to do... it can only get better from here! The tears of sadness that fall will soon be filled with tears of happiness when we see our sailors again!

Dana, we are here for you, girl! I'm an empty nester (well in a month I will be) and the ladies on here have become my sisters and best friends. We will help you through, with laughter, tears, hugs and giggles. Trust me!

Dana - I too have been a single mom for the past 18 years; hang in there - no change is without adjustment - I am experiencing an empty nest and I've and have had some ouchy days since my SR left. This group will be your saving grace on your tough days and your cheering section on your banner days. Keep your Chin Up. Be proud of your SR - he's a fine and honorable young man. I'm happy you found us!

Ok, the Josh Groban song makes me cry. But's that ok, it's always been a favorite of mine and now it means even more. :)

Dana - I was a single mom for the first 6 years of D's life. I totally understand what you mean. For a long time it me and him and his sister. I feel like him and I have a special connection because of it. I am also now married to a wonderful man who is such a good father to my children. Isn't it wonderful to have such wonderful sons :) Susan
