Hi everyone. My boyfriend's PIR is 12-17. I thought I would tell you some more songs that i listen to often. American Soldier by Toby Keith, Letters From Home by John Michael Montgomery, Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne, and I'm Already There by Lonestar.

Yes, cjk mom is correct. Springhill Suites, Courtyard, and Residence Inn are all Marriott hotels. Very nice hotels and very close together up there. They all have shuttle service to/from PIR ($3/pp each way). And, cjk...I have heard from many who have stayed at Springhill thatit was great and the staff was very accommodating to the Navy families. We stayed at Residence and that was very nice too.

Welcome Jon'sMom - you're in the right place; or the next PIR group which is 12/22. Both PIR's are comprised of a great group of N4M Moms, wives, girlfriends and fiancees. Most of us began our journey in the Leaving for Boot Camp discussion group and are thankful for the support these pages provide us - on some days you'll hear this source referred to as a "life line." Information is power and you will find a wealth of information here. Many of your questions can be answered HERE so ask away. We are fortunate to have several seasoned NRM's helping us on our journey. The box has been showing up 3 or 4 days after the SR's arrival at BC and the form letter 1 -3 days later; so watch your porch and mail.

LoLo - I booked at the Spring Hill Suites, in an earlier post from another mom, they stayed there and were very impressed, said it was a newer hotel, they are all suites, and I believe it has a shuttle service. The rates were very good also.

Heidi - congratulations on getting your reservations made; 1 step closer to your SR's special day! I am going to check on hotels tonight; we are interested in a suite and a pool/hot tub w/shuttle service to the base. Hoping I can find something. Anyone look into Courtyard Marriott yet.

I am ship 3, div 023 and no call today from my SR 2silvatwins; I'm so sorry you missed it - those connections are really important to us. I can only begin to imagine your dissppointment. Keep your chin up girl; you have a VM you can replay and hear his voice which should be nice. I haven't had a call for clearance or anything yet. Only my box and my form letter. ((hugs)) to you my friend.

Stewfam- I sent you a friend request. In the top right corner of you home page you will see "inbox" and below that you will see "friends" request. You should see my message in the friend tab. Once you accept me as a friend you can click on my name and it will take you to my page. Then on the left side you will see "send a message" click on that and send me a message and I will send you the info for ordering ribbons for you and your family to wear to PIR. Thanks

Thank you, Mary for making the new group. I'm joining it too, because I love all of you ladies and want to stay in touch. I have many people on my prayer list and you are all on it too. We will comfort and support each other, every step of the way.
For all of you have received their letters today, Woohoo! I can imagine how happy and giddy you were when you read them. ((hugs))
