LaLa Ribbon Queen - really, really neat - thanks for sharing. I will order - how much lead time do you need in order to make and send to me. Does the $5.00 include shipping?

Lynne - WOW; so glad he is back on track with a graduation date in sight :-) Thank goodness he is well again; kind a scarey. What is Hall of Fame bound? What week did this all occur? Enjoy your sailor's PIR and the following weekend - a really special PIR after all that!

Oh my goodness, Lynne. What an ordeal for your poor son. I hope he is feeling much better now. Ouch, on the head injury. ((hugs)) I'm glad that he is back on track now. ((hugs)) to you and congratulations to you and your sailor. WooHoo!

Hey all I am back. I put the questionaires up above..now they are very short and sweet because my son often wrote on Saturday evenings because he went to church on Sundays and wanted to laze around...lol. I couldn't argue with that. I will update you quickly on my saga since I got so many nice notes. My son is NOT a sailor. Yes, you heard that correctly. He got ASMO'd. A lovely term you don't want to have to learn. It actually means assignment memorandum. He was in a division that was hall of fame bound and many have been quite ill. Anyway he got sick and passed out and hit his head on the concrete and head to be taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was diagnosed with pnuemonia and 104.8 fever. When he recovered he had missed his firefighting test (which is ironic since my son is a nationally certified firefighter...lol). Anyway, when you are ASMO'd which technically means set back a week you HAVE to be given a phone call to your recruiter and your family. He called his recruiter but oops was denied the call to momma. Anyway all is well that ends well. When I had written to you all it was while waiting for the call and after hearing that everyone in my son's division had passed. Little did I know he wasn't in that division anymore. He finally called that night at 9 PM when his new Chief RDC learned that he hadn't been given his phone call. She sent him immediately to the phones. Guess it takes a woman to do the RIGHT thing. Did I say that??? LOL But as I said all's well that end's well...my son will graduate next Friday in spite of it all, and instead of being a grad and go, leaving Saturday at 2 AM he will now leave the following Tuesday...so I get to spend the whole weekend with him. I can't decide whether to run the RDC over or kiss him.....LOL So, there is my update...from recruit to sailor to recruit again....but there is always next week!!! Thank you for all your kind words and especially your Jessica...that you would consider me someone in the same breath as you do Dianne, Sobe, and you is a compliment beyond words. Listen well ladies to these women they will not let you down. I would be honored to help you in any way you see fit Jessica.

Hello again everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. I have had a couple people in this group ask to see pics of the ribbons I make for people to wear to PIR. A little info: they are about 5 inches tall on average, are hand made and only $5.00 each. they are a great way to show support for your Sailor to be and also a great way to recognize other N4M members. If you would like more info just sent me a friend request and I will send you detailed info. Her are some sample pics. But ask anyone in the PIR groups before yours who have received their already they look sooooo much better in person. It is very hard to get a good pic of them.

I will try to get some better pics this week :-)

Thanks, Wendi. I have my Blue Star flags and joined the group. You can join online. A's gf's dad gave me the flags a couple of months ago. One is for your front window of your house and he also gave me the smaller one for my car. Wasn't that sweet of him? I will definetely check out the shirt. I will buy blue candles too.

On the Boot Camp Moms site it was mentioned about getting ribbons, division shirts, order your blue star flag and buy a blue candle. There is a link to the order page for shirts and for the flag.
