Jessica, my husband was the ONLY one who had trouble with your questionnaires...they are probably fine. when he checked he actually didn't find a virus...see lots of panicking (on his part) over nothing.
sorry,
Nancy

Congratulations Lynne and to your son as well - kudos! Your note was so sweet! Thanks for your advice and sharing your experiences. I just opened my son's letter and advised him to seek medical if he feels bad and wash his hands! Once a mom, always a mom!

Lynn,
Congratulations to you and your son. What a great day for you all!

Wow I never thought about the possibility of all the sickness. Yikes! My next letter to my son, will be wash, wash, wash, those hands.
I am actually highly interested in the questionnaires. If I send you my e-mail could you sent those to me?
Comment by Lynne on October 29, 2010 at 7:52pm
Oh I have some questionaires you might like...I took all of Jessicas and kind of organized them...into four: food, general, ship life and OMG they never told me this....lol! Let me know if you want them!!

Hi all...I'm Lynne and leader of the 11/5/2010 PIR group. It doesn't seem that long ago that we were where you are - waiting for letters, worrrying about how they were doing, hoping for phone calls, and thinking this process will never end. Today my son became a Sailor. Next Friday he graduates. It won't be long until it will happen for you as well. Hang in there...stay the course...and keep your eye on the prize!! They are working hard. I remember when we started having more contact and they complained about being tired and we worried. They talked about those who talked to much and got everyone in trouble and we were frustrated and secretly afraid our recruits were the ones who were the troublemakers. We laughed at the stories of the sleepwalkers, the head cleaners, and the funny things they would write in the questionaires. As a group we formed a team and now have become a family. My hope and prayer is that you will too! May God bless each of you on your journey. And when you hear everyone is sick...because you will... don't worry every division gets sick and they all survive...one my divisions...every single member spent at least one night in the hospital with pneumonia...no kidding. Tell them to keep washing those hands and its okay to go to medical if they don't feel well. Write it in a letter...they won't get in trouble...its better than letting it get too bad!! Have fun, be kind to your leader, and rely on Jessica and Dianne...they are awesome!!
