Lynn, thanks it's good to know that they will have some relaxing time after BS.

Penny, it won't be long now.

Lori, thanks for the update on the gate passes. I'll keep checking throughout the day too.

Only 10 days, ladies! Can you believe it?

Donna, Ty's mom and Susan gave insight on why it's taking so long for the confirmations.

Susan & Ty's mom, thanks.

ok.....so no call this weekend :( I am assuming it is because they are in the home stretch and things are very busy right now especially since Ty is in the 904 division....I have found several pictures of him on the facebook page performing at other graduation ceremonies :D Does anyone know when to expect battlestations to happen? I am getting so excited to see my new sailor and at the same time very nervous about all the turbulent weather happening in the "lakes region"!!! Hope is behaves while we are all traveling to get there.

I am off now to make more ribbons but I will be back to check messages throughout the day.

MarylandMom, I too was a complete nervous wreck because I am one that sent things via email to a specific person on 11/28 and still have not received confirmation. I emailed the information (flight arrangements to school, detailed traveling information and our vehicle information) again to the scheduling office but still have not received a confirmation. On top of that, I put everything in an envelope and mailed it directly to my son just to be sure. Then still not satisfied I finally phoned a # provided to me by another momma and spoke to a gentleman who assured me that it would all be okay. He said they are very far behind because they have over 1,500 graduates between the 17th and 22nd and that's a lot of information to process. He also explained to me that they will not DENY your recruits request they simply may let you know if more was needed. It is very unnerving having never been through this before but we have to trust that everything is there and okay. That gets a little difficult when others have received confirmations but maybe someone else is just handling things a different way and maybe only contacting those that they need something from to expediate their end. I can't imagine having to email confirmations to every one either! LOL Just hang in there, believe in the best and trust that no news IS indeed good news! Happy Monday. Only one more of these babies to go and we're headed to Illy!

MarylandMom and everyone who is nervous about SR travel; take all your documentation with you to PIR so you have it in hand should they need anything to be able to process your SR for leave. IF you haven't done so already - send a copy to your SR directly. Good advice Susan - DEEP Breath - everything is going to work out fine. Happy Monday - just checked to see if Parking Passes are available; not yet!
