Hi Ladies, I hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday.

Cj, what a great idea for you and Lukesgirl to team up. I hope it works out for you.

lllinibeam, your boyfriend is the same age as my son, only 18. It's such a mature decision for such a young man.

Wendi, WooHoo! I hope those 2 weeks fly by for you.

Lukes girl - I will be driving to Gl on Dec 16th and will be coming through Minnesota. Could you get a ride to Interstate 90? If so you could ride with us to Chicago. I could use an extra Driver. Friend me and we can talk. I live in Sioux Falls, SD

I think it makes it easier for you two to be so young through all of this, you have all your friends and school to keep you occupied while he's away..there's not a whole lot to do around here, I'm done with college, but I'm planning on going back to college for a different degree once were stationed somewhere. :)

Lol oh wow I feel old! Lol! Lukes 24, he'll be 25 the day after graduation!! :) I'm trying to do something super special since he's coming home with me on leave right after the ceremony...but I'm struggling for ideas. I thought maybe just his favorite sushi place, but I don't know yet.. :)

Lol you're lucky..luke got promoted within a week of boot, so he's kept busy with all the paperwork they make him do, and he has to boss around 50 some recruits..so much for him trying to "blend in" lol. I'm not too surprised he stood out..the boys 6'4" and he's one of the oldest guys in their div I guess..how old is your bf?

Illini-have you gotten a lot of letters?

Thanks! I think things will be better after this week..seeing everyones cute pictures on this site makes me wonder, does everyone get super dressed up for graduation? My cousin was in the Army, and we wore jeans and a nice shirt, but then again, hers was outside in rainy weather..

lukesgirl, glad to hear that you were able to talk to his dad. I hope all your plans come together smoothly.
