Hello to all of my PIR 12/17 friends...did you see the Navy picture of the day? I was in tears trying to find N! I'm so happy that you all heard from your SRs...unfortunately I didn't hear from N! I"m not sure why not and I'm trying not to read too much into that because he has been sounding so good! Well Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :)

Hope he can get his leave changed - Sharon that would be a great Christmas gift!

Got to talk to T for a whole half hour, and he also got to talk to his siblings and his stepdad. It was awesome. :) He and his division were at a country club and were really enjoying the time off. He said that he would try to get his leave plans changed but didn't know if they'd allow it. So he may be stuck going to A School and spending Xmas on base. :(

She has also been able to be on facebook. It almost feels like she is done with bootcamp. The rest of the time will fly for them. They are going to be so busy.

I have been texting H throughout the day and am waiting for another call after she finishes dinner. Her group went to a movie. She said her battlestations will be the Wed before PIR. Next week is gas chamber

Penny, that's sounds like wonderful phone call. It sounds like they are having a really good time today.

I talked to CJ - he is making so many plans and has so many new friends. He chatted for ever I didn't even have time to ask questions. He was with a group of veterans. They had a traditional dinner and CJ said they even made homemade Apple pie. He was so excited about it. He said "mom you gotta make me one when I come home" Guess I have been told!!
They were playing computer games, pool, talking on the phone and watching football. It was like sensory over load for him. He said on the bus on the way there He said they were looking at the green stuff on the ground and wow all that blue and the trees. He said it was great to be in the outside world.
He did say he was a little blue because it was his first holiday away from home, but he said mom it is the way of the life. Gosh he has grown up some :) lol
He has 13 team mates who are going to GL for A school and they are going to be World of War Craft buddies. Already getting their FB, phone numbers, email and such so when they no longer see each other every day they still can be together. Very cool.
He passed his PFA again and increased his amount of sit ups and push ups. He said they do live fire tests on Monday. Tomorrow is a sunday for them He said they have 19 offical BC days and the rest of Sundays or holidays. Can you believe it!!! They are almost done.
