Everyone,
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills--where does
my help come from? My help comes from
the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth."
Psalm 121-1-2
Prayers of comfort from our God for Sailor Andrew Adams, his family, friends, and other Sailors in his PIR group~~
AMEN, Meloni. Navy just released his name, 20 yr old Andrew Adams from Sarasota FL. I know his family/friends must be devastated as his shipmates/RDCs must be also. To just have become a sailor (he had just completed BattleStations shortly before this).....wow.....I can just imagine that his family got that wonderful I'm a Sailor call from him....then this. Prayers that they find out what happened....and that there is some kind of peace restored to the family. God Bless one of our newest sailors!
Yes Meloni! I agree. God Bless our SR's and prayers for Div 803, Im still sick over the news. He was only 20yrs old.
People, please pray for the family of the recruit who died after battle stations this Monday. This week's PIR will be so sad for everyone. DIV 803, you are especially in my prayers. God keep you all so we can see you 12/12.
Good Morning!
FTLW,
So nice to read of your love of herding dogs and Sea World! Have you heard of www.cuddleclones.com where they can make a custom plush of your furbaby? I just found them on FB through Venus, the Chimera Cat--you've got to see her! I would love to have one done of our black and white cat Genesis. Their photo gallery is fun to go through!
Mattie - That's wonderful! It's good that you can live your dream!
I'm more of a dog person. Actually, I was a licensed AHT and wanted to work with exotics, Sea World or the Zoo. I met my future hubby though and wanted babies more LOL.
But then I got a Border Collie X...who proceeded to eat our house! I had never seen one in practice since I worked in the city and so did not really know about them. High energy, needs a job. Found Sheepherding and that was all she wrote. Got my purebred from working lines and trained, did farm work and competed in Sheepdog trials. He's 14 1/2 now and I won't be able to even think about getting a new dog for a couple of years...but it is a dream :-) Hubby had dogs too and has also worked with horses...so planning for that land and farm someday! I miss it...can you tell?! LOL
So in a way...I look at my Border Collies as an "exotic". PLUS, I get my dose of Sea World a few times a year! Have had up close encounters with Dolphins, Penguin and Belugas. The next goal for SW is to get in the water with the Dolphins and Belugas!
