Good Morning! Happy Monday! Hi, CatMom! Seems you and I are just greeting each other these days! HA!
Blessed Sunday!
" I have loved you with an everlasting love.
I have drawn you with loving-kindness."
Jeremiah 31:3
Good Morning! Hope all have a great Sunday!
Oops, forgot this...
The reason you may not give personal items to those Sailors who are attending A school elsewhere is that no civilian items ,( even food or snacks) are allowed back onboard RTC.
If you're new Sailor is attaching to TSC GL for A school then you will be able to give their cell phone (don't forget the charger!) to them later on PIR day when you pick them up from the Main base. You may also bring them other electronics , undies (no more tighty whities and granny panties!), and a few civilian clothes. They won't be able to wear the clothes right away but usually are allowed to store them until they can.
If your new Sailor is flying out elsewhere to A school you may not give them their cell phone or other items on PIR day (they have to have room in there back pack for the items, so just one pair of civies, again they won't be able to wear them right away anyways.) BUT, you may meet them at the Airport when they get there and make the transfer then. Sailors are bussed to the Airport in Groups in the wee hours of the morning between 1-4 AM. All go at the same time regardless of when their flight is. Your Sailor may not know their itinerary until a day or two before PIR, so you won't find out until you see them at PIR. Make sure to ask them to write it down for you.
Airport, Flight time, airline, flight number, possible arrival time at airport.
Please do not share your Sailors itinerary publicly, it is considered "movement" of military personnel and to do so breaks OPSEC.
When my Husband came back from both his deployments he gave me the leave date in code (it was still approximate even then) and more details once we were on a private line and he was on US soil.
Thanks for posting, navyjeep! We N4Moms veterans are wondering where everyone is in this group! Hoping that some post tomorrow!
