Hello! So thankful to find you! Box came last week and letter came Saturday. Yippee! Still curious about rolled up jeans in box...something about boots?
Has anyone made hotel reservations yet?

Hello! Welcome to your PIR Group!

Fireteamleaderwife here. You can call me FTLW, it's easier :-)

My Sailor PIR’d in 05/2011. He is a Seabee Reservist. I have been an AF (Security Forces) Reservist wife for 28 years…I know …not Navy…but I am familiar with military life! We have been through two Deployments. Now working on Retirement process from AF and soon from Civilian job. Our son enlisted while Hubby was in Iraq. This site was a Godsend and helped me get through not only our sons BC experience but my husbands and my separation for 6 months.

I am a “veteran” mom on the PIR groups mostly.

Just got my form letter! Ship 13 Div 043. Looks like PIR 12/12. Can someone tell me about the FB page, where do I go for that? Also what is the clock count down? Thank you.

Box finally here. Poor Fedex guy didn't even get to stop before I was out the door! I didn't scare him off however because he knew where the box was from and wished my son the best and thanked him for his service. Clothing was a bit ripe but he had taken the time to write me a lovely letter which made me cry for the first time since he left. Still waiting on the form letter even though the recruiter gave me his info. Glad to be taking this journey with all of you :)
