NavyNukeGirlfriend - you should edit your post because you are giving way too much personal information. The OPSEC and PERSEC guidelines are very helpful. But to answer your question, as far as I have read, the answer to your question is no, you can't.

Hi everyone! I just got 3 letters in the mail from my boyfriend today. He said that the next time he'll be able to call is December 4th. Does that mean he won't get to call on Thanksgiving? I'm a little confused.

x808404,

If you fly back Saturday evening, that should work~~ Or if you want to celebrate your birthday some place different rather than traveling that day, stay until Sunday.  Your SR can be flying out to his A school anytime throughout that day from 6:00 am on, but he won't know the exact flight time till after he completes Battlestations~~

z808404:  The Navy Lodge is very economical to stay in, close to the base, nice staff.  Book in your SR's name if you do not have your own military ID.  They fill up quickly so you may want to book now.  If you try online and they say no vacancy, try calling them because they DO get cancellations!

OHare is closer to RTC than Midway....not sure if it makes a difference which one you fly into.  People fly into both.  Some also fly into Milwaukee...cheaper car rental, no traffic, takes about 45 mins to drive to GL.  It is an hour+ drive to GL from Midway: about 35-40 from OHare, both Midway and OHare depending on Chicago traffic.

Thank for the info.  Nice to know 03/039 will be first in Battle Stations!

I just booked the first leg of my flight to Midway for my son's graduation. His A school is in SC and I'm not certain if I should fly back on Sat. The 13th(my birthday) from Ohare or midway. Money is tight and I'm also wondering if organizations that help with travel. The Coast Guard has a non profit that helps families. I'm a veteran myself. What is the best hotel to book for graduation the billeting hotel is only for active duty. Can't wait to see him.
