N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Jocie,
My son is also on ship 11 DIV 041. I'm anxiously awaiting that first call. Did your SR call because he needed info or was he able to call just because? I'm not very good at waiting......this is driving me a little batty:)

I just sent out my 6th letter. I'm really hoping that I get one back from my SR today or tomorrow. :-) That would make this weekend so very much better!
How's everyone else hanging in there? Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it!

It's fine. I'm just patiently trying to wait for a phone call, letter or something!! I sent a letter on Tuesday and hopefully he will get it today. We are in Western slope of Colo, but in valley. Snow all around us! Thanks for the reply.

Maybe I misunderstood my daughter.  But there are 97 in div 040, that she did say.  I just assumed all female because it was listed as brother/sister divisions.  My apologizes if I gave bad intel.  Hope you all have a great Halloween its raining here:(

Happy Halloween Navy Family :) I hope you all have a wonderful day and hand out lots of candy. I am betting if any little sailors show up at your door they will get an extra handful :) I thought I would share a pic of my Sailor and grand baby. For her first Halloween is is the prettiest little Minion I have ever seen <3

RG:   A lady from a previous PIR group posted that when she booked with Southwest, she then had access to a discount code for a car.  If I remember correctly, she only paid $11 or $12 a day.  Her name is BeachBunny and she is one of the N4Moms veterans now on the Bootcamp Moms page....posts often....if you want to post on there and ask her about it.

Good  Morning All !

I've made my reservations! Thanks to all for the (indirect) advice. Navy Lodge is definitely a great deal, as is Southwest Air. Now to book a rental car, that can wait for later...
