~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Millette,
TG 05 means this is the 5th training group of our federal government's fiscal year.
Maybe you can ask your ex to scan and email the letters to you?
ohhh....what does the TG 05 mean?
Milette, I have posted the divisions in the PIR groups and have just gone by what people have posted after they receive their form letter. The RTC has been very lax in posting the TG and the divisions that go with them to confirm.
Several have reported divisions 037 with this PIR date, so that is how I posted the divisions. I will see what I can do to get the divisions confirmed from the RTC,.
ok ellen, thank you, yes the ex shares info but when it doesn't jive its aggrevating ya know? and he won't be able to copy them to me until he goes back to work Monday. i just don't know where he is seeing the Dec 6 date. uuugggghhhh
Aren't ex's the best? No comment! :) I would start by calling your son's recruiter and have him confirm the address, PIR date, ship/div if he can. Also, can your ex make you a copy of the letters? We are getting the letters to our house, but we are nice enough to make copies of everything for our daughter's mom (I am stepmom). Even though I can't stand her, I would never keep that info from her.
need help....the ex is the one getting the info (keeping thoughts to myself)...he tells me 2 days ago he got the letter and our son is ship13/div037..now today he get the "form" letter (so the other was adopt a sailor letter) that our son filled out with his address on it....but the ex is now saying his PIR is 12-6....I asked if the ship/div info changed and he said no still the same....I checked 12-6 PIR and it only goes up to div 036.....I looked at here for div #'s and must be blind...don't see them listed...please help me figure out my sons PIR date
pixie: I believe that this group is entitled to the Adopt a Sailor program. If so, you will receive a form about that.
Are we allowed to visit them on Thanksgiving??
