Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security)
(Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips)

This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way.

The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

 • Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for your personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Thanks so much, I hard a hard time shopping this weekend. i saw so many really cute baby things that I wanted to buy lol. I will have to wait a bit. I could be dangerous if I knew the sex of the baby haha. Since she will be due in the summer I did hit the clearance racks and got her a really pretty designer dress for warm weather and it was sooooo cheap :) Her hubby got her a Pandora bracelet for her birthday this week so I got her the anchor charm for it for Christmas :)

Hey -- our SR told  us on Saturday that his leave had been delayed until 12/22 at 16:00....did anyone else have the same message from their recruit.   It's not a big deal as we are driving and had planned on spending that day in town with my husband's cousins....just wondered.

Lala -- congrats and blessings on you and your family.  That saying that if you had known grandbabies were so great you would have skipped kids is certainly true.  We had our first in May..she is the light of everyone's life...including her uncle sailor.  He's going to be so surprised to see her at PIR.   You will have such a wonderful time with that baby....just hold onto your heart...it is about to MELT!!!!

That is a wonderful post bamamom, I know we are all so lucky to have our families and such a wonderful country to live in where we are free. I am so thankful for all those who helped your daughter and grandchilden and that she had homeowners insurance. God is good, all the time :)

Denise - what division is your son in. you should have received an itinerary confirmation email back as well, to know if it was received.

I am so sorry I have been MIA, it has been a crazy and busy few days. I am a substitute teacher and was called in to sub 3 days in a row for a teacher with the flu. I cleaned that room from top to bottom before I touched anything lol. I had a shopping trip to Charlotte this weekend and stayed with my son who doesn't have internet and my college girl came from UNCW and met me there for shopping and brought her roommate with her. Best of all We found out that our Sailors are expecting a baby. We are super excited; this will be our first grandbaby :) I hope you all had a great weekend.
