What is your son's first name? We also have a group on facebook for moms and girlfriends of recruits on SHIP 09 DIV 015. It's called just that - SHIP 09 DIV 015. Look us up! My son is Thomas and we are from Indiana.
Hey Trea... I just joined the FB group ship 09 div 015 thx! Nice to meet you!
Hi I just sent a request to the ship 09 div 015 on facebook,my son is in this div.
you are now on facebook... I made that group because this site confused me, but has great info too! So from time to time, we post information there... and all our sons are in the same 'boat'.
I know this thread confused me too!!! Yikes! LOL...
My son's first name is Thomas and we are from central Indiana, about 20 minutes north of Indianapolis.
Pati619... my name is Michelle... nice to see you on here. I was just wondering what your son's first name is... I am asking because my husband, daughter and I will be taking part in the adopt a Sailor program for Thanksgiving and we will be adopting a young man from CA. I was just wondering... thx!
Hey everyone... I just wanted to introduce myself. My son is in the same div 15 as your sons/daughters. I was wondering if any of you are from CA? It turns out we will be taking part in the adopt a Sailor program and along with my son we will be adopting a buddy of his from CA. I just thought it would be neat to let his mom/dad know.
Hi ALL,
My Son is also Ship09 Div015, we are from Louisiana. I havent had a lot of luck on this website making connections. I find it difficult!! However it is very informative. I have received several letters and one phone call. My sons Job is Religous Petty Officer, He said he spends alot of time at the church. I received a letter this morning, he stated they get to write twice a week now and will probably be calling again on 11/13/2010 and for me to make sure I keep my phone with me. The letter was written on 11/5/2010 he stated they started their SEAMAN SHIP CLASSES today.
A lot of this group moved over to a Facebook page. It is a private group that you cannot view over the internet, but you can see it exists. If you are on Facebook, do a search on Ship 09 Div 015 and send a request to join. There several of us talk regularly.
Okay thanks, I found it and sent the request.
Welcome April! Hope to see you on FB. My family is from Wi... sorry you have not had a lot of luck connecting with anyone on the Navy for mom's website. It took me many attempts to connect... I tried several groups. Very cool... your sons job is a Religous Petty Officer. Is that like a Chaplin? My son also mentioned he has been attending church and reading his Bible to help him cope. My son will be doing A school in San Antonio for a MA (Master at Arms). I have received 1 phone call and 2 letters (1 note really).
