Okay, for everyone who actually enjoys talking about clothing, outfits, etc, here we are. What do you plan on wearing for PIR? For PIR weekend? Are you buying new clothes, raiding your wardrobe, or a mix of the two?

I am wearing denim trousers, a black sweater twin set, a funky print pashmina, my Bear Paws boots, and of course my Div 098 pin!.
For PIR I'm *planning* on wearing a navy corduroy pencil skirt, grey tights, black ankle boots and a grey sweater-shell (if it arrives on time!) under a grey pea coat. Navy blue gloves and scarf. No hat. If it's especially cold I will add grey leg warmers.

For the rest of the weekend:

Today I got a really pretty new sweater with one of those fake button one-side collars. If it's really cold I will wear it for the rest of the weekend with my jeans. I have two pair which I haven't worn in over a year. I usually don't do pants. If it's not too cold (below 15F) I'll continue wearing skirts with leggings or cotton tights. Which will probably freak out Chicagoans. I know it bothered Coloradans, they were sure I must be freezing, LOL.

I still need one more sweater. I can't find another one I really like. And I HATE having sleeves under a coat. It gets bulky and hard to move. Sleeveless sweaters are hard to come by.

If it's snowy/slushy/nasty I'll wear my Columbia insulated winter boots (the only winter gear I saved from Colorado), if not I have two pair dress boots I plan to wear all weekend.
PIR-Black dress pants with ivory sweater and my Div 096 pin. The rest of the weekend will be jeans.
Right now for PIR I am planning on wearing a black and white dress over khaki pants with tennis shoes. Then after it I will change into jeans, a sweater that Shawn picked out before he left and of course my Div 95 pin and scarf. The rest of the weekend will be jeans and probably another Navy wife shirt and layers. But then again I might not leave the hotel after I have to say good bye to him until we leave.
I think it is funny how much planning we put into this... don't worry I am right there with you!

I am wearing black pants and a black & white sweater to PIR. I don't plan on layering too much. I get hot easy and when Aiden acts up my BP goes up and that makes me warmer too. LOL! The things I have learned.

The rest of the weekend... my normal "mom" attire. Jeans and a sweater/shirt. Good thing that Patrick missed me. There's no glamour here. LOL!
Im gonna wear a black and cream colored dress (top part is cream and bottom is black, its so cute!!) with black nylons (thick ones) I got some black heels yesterday (smaller heels, cuz i dont want to tower too much over my hubby hes 5'10ish and im 5'11, so its hard to do heels around him) I got a cute Long black pea coat, a blacknd cream colored necklac, kinda like a pearl type style.
And now that i have read arwens reply, i need to go get a scarf and gloves, didnt even think about it till now.
As for the rest of the weekend (if hes not grad n go) Im gonna wear jeans and cute tops wih cute heels.
Oh my gosh, cannot believe we are already discussing this. IM SO EXCITED!!!
Black pair of dress pants with black dress boots. Black and Gray Vera Wang sweater with white long sleeve cotton shirt underneath , Navy Pea Coat <-- subject to change cause
I am going shopping tomorrow... smile..
Clothes, Ohh goodness.. My last letter said "DON'T BUY NEW CLOTHES, WEAR WHATEVER" But of course i bought new clothes, Wearing a sweater dress, then today i couldn't resist but i found a WONDERFUL coat, so i guess i got a new coat , with leggings , my super cute leather boots & my gold scarf :] I hope i don't look like a fool :] & As for the rest of the weekend, umm probably Jeans. Boots & coat.
I too have been using this as an awesome excuse to shop. After I got the stuff I listed above, today I added another set of gloves and scarf.

I would bring my ice skates, I'm sure there is an outdoor ice rink in Chicago somewhere, but last time I skated I ended up in Neuro ICU. Not an experience I'd care to repeat.
Lol, ice skating! that would be awsome! I've only been ice skating indoors.
We had an outdoor ice arena only a few blocks from our house in Colorado. In fact, there is a webcam for that ice arena. But that's not the one where I fell. It was a boring old indoor rink.
I actually went and bought a new outfit...I hate shopping but it made me excited to get the outfit because it felt like PIR was really going to happen...anyhow I'm wearing dark brown slacks, burnt orange sweater with a tan casual jacket. The outfit will also include my scarf with orange and of course my pin. I told my son to look for the woman in orange smiling so big she looks like the Cheshire Cat on Alice in Wonderland.
