Okay, I got hold of the group salesperson there and asked a bunch of questions.  Of course, I didn't know how many we would have, but she said a group could get tickets for the dinner and show for $39.66 which is a lot better than the $59 and change they charge for a regular ticket.  I asked her how we could pay for this as I'm sure no one wants to put everyone's ticket on a charge, so she said we could get discounts in groups of three or four.  I looked it up on their website and actually it appears to be cheaper (although she may have been quoting me the price with tax or something) because a group of three would be $111 (or $37 apiece) and a group of four would be $136 (or $34 apiece).

Anyway, the show times are Friday - 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm (which would be too late for our SR's to get back to  base) and Saturday at 1:30 and 4:00 (and another later show which I did not write down).  We could decide when we wanted to go, and I could call her back and ask to be seated in a section together.  She also said that when we found out how many, that we could call the national number and maybe they could work something out.

So what's the will of the people?  Personally, I think Friday will be a big day and our sailors might be tired, so I was thinking Saturday would be a better day, but hey...I'm easy to get along with.

Let the masses speak!

Count us in. I'm good with whatever day and time the masses prefer, but agree that the sailors may not be up to it on Friday...

Personally, I'm leaning toward the Saturday 1:30 time simply because it will be dark leaving the 4:00 performance and I don't see well to drive in the dark. But I will have my oldest son there to navigate, so it's not a big deal if most of you would rather go to the 4:00.  We should probably set a deadline for a decision so we can go ahead and make reservations...maybe like a couple of days from now to give people who don't check in here everyday a chance to weigh in.

Just so you know, my hubby said that they wont be available until after 2pm on Saturday, I don't completely understand why, but just passing on the info.  He is in DIV 084.  I definitely think the 4pm time is much better.

Did he say the whole division would not be available, or only himself?

All sailors are assigned duty (they have to stand watch) during part of the weekend. If he was assigned duty Saturday morning, then he (and others assigned to that watch) will be released late. Other sailors will have to report mid-day for watch, then can return to liberty, while still others will be assigned late afternoon or early evening watch, and will have to return early.

Almost all of them will lose a partial day of liberty, either Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

Any preference between Sat. at 1:30 or 4:00?  Let's decide in a couple of days and I'll call back and see if they can seat us all in the same section even if we are doing the 3 or more package.
1:30 will probably be best because we wont have to worry about dropping our Sailor off back at RTC and not worry about it being dark as well. Im not sure if we'll be able to make it (financially wise, and have a 4month old with us) but hopefully it all works out, do you know if theres room for a car seat to be placed?
There is a coat room/stroller storage type place between the entrance and exit, I saw several people's big stuff there. You just pick it up as you leave.
My Family and I booked our Dinner/Show for Saturday at 4pm, we bought group tickets for 4 people(our kids are 2 years old and 6 months old and will be lap kids).  Very excited about this, hope to see some of you there.
Yes  - we would like to go, Saturday is good for us. There will be 3 of us. I would like to also make sure our sailor gets back to base on time. Let us know how to get up with you. Would like to be there earlier to see the preshow.
Well, me and the family are staying at the Navy Lodge.  I don't have the direction's to Medivel Times, but I hear it is about 20 miles away from the Base, and I am pretty sure they have a website where you can order your tickets online, with directions and such.
Got my reservations for 1:30... hope to see y'all there. :)
