My son is also in Pensacola. I talk to him everyday, either on Facebook or on the phone. But I also miss the letters. Doing his own thing and loving it!!!

I talked with my son yesterday and I asked him about the W-2 also. I told him to e-mail me a copy and I would put it with the other 2 W-2's of his that came to my address while he was in BC. He said "why should I mail you a copy? Why don't you send me the W-2's you have and I'll take care of it." I thought, Wow, that thought never occured to me. He doesn't need me to take care of things anymore. Sure brought a big ol' smile to my face. He told me they had volunteers that come in and help them file their taxes. I guess the bird has left the nest!! :-)

Thanks tstms,

I am hoping he will call soon so that I can mention the mypay thing to him and have him send me his W-2.  I don't want to file it late.......

Sorry I've been in the military so long I just assume everyone know the languge.

mypay is a link within the military to get there paystatements, w-2 and other pay related items. He/she can get into via there ID card which is also called a CAC card. Now they can also go in and set up a user name and password with in but I'm sure if it could be access from a nonmilitary line as I just use my CAC.

I miss coming to this site numerous times during the day to get info and share everyones excitement about letters, phone calls and making it through BattleStations!!! Now that life has settled down from all that, I take comfort in being able to be on Facebook with him and being able to call him. He is really enjoying Pensacola and went out last night to Hooters with some of the guys. Looking at the picture he posted, wondered if any of the Sailors  belong to you. Please keep in touch, and have a great weekend Navy Moms!!!!

Thanks for the info but I'm still confused......What is mypay? And can I access it or does he have to do it? He is in D.C. in another bootcamp setting training for Honor Guard and still does not have access to computers.

Scrappy1- I set my daughters ringtone to Anchors Away also.  I love talking and texting with her.  She is at GL, started school on Thursday.  She is going to night school she didn't pick the time, that's what they gave her.  Also, she is moving from where she is living to a new place on base on Tuesday, a newer place.
