My daughter is at GL for GM, I havent heard from her since Monday after PIR. Does anyone know what they are doing this week besides the move in on Tuesday?
To zacksmom: My daughter is there also in GL for FC, please keep in touch...
Exxie - my son kept his calling card just so that he knew that it would be a few days before he would be able to get his phone, etc. They are doing indoc training for the next 5 days (excluding the weekend), so my guess it will be this weekend before you hear from 'the prince'.
We can't wait either to make plans to go to Panama City - and warmer weather!!
It was a great weekend!!
bev: so glad to hear they moved across the way! I knew they were scheduled to move, but have not gotten any confirmation from The Prince. We left his phone and computer at the lock&go, so I guess he has to wait until they get some liberty before he can go pick up his stuff. :/
SOOOO much fun meeting everyone and getting to laugh and sing with both my kids together in the same room last weekend! I'm still riding a little higher in my seat. :D My daughter bought tickets last night to come home in May and we'll take a ride up to Panama City to play again. Can't wait! I guess we've started a new tradition in our family: planning and anticipating the next vacation, over and over and over! LOL!!
I think that the PIR group from 2/11 had a great idea of changing the name to Alumni - who has the permissions to do this -- it is nice to see what everyone is doing and sharing our stories - after all our Sailors are still on a journey!!
My son (Div 805) has moved over to the other side at GL and will be there I think until the end of March at which time he will move to Panama City, Florida for his next journey - he sounded good when I talked with him tonight and glad to be out of the RTC unit --
But I have to say I am glad that I am out of Chicago and the weather -- much nicer here in Colorado!!
