Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

So can I ask when are these calls yall are all getting coming in? I know it is a possiblity to come anytime. I just wondered if they happen to be in the middle of the day too. :)

My phone keeps auto turning off. This is NOT going to cut it!!! I will have to call my carrier that would be my luck for it to be turned off without noticing and he would call. UGH

I got a phone call from my husband! Poor guy had to listen to me blubber for 28 minutes, but it was the best 28 minutes I've had in a LONG time. He's doing fine and they're on training day 2-5. Four weeks left until Battlestations and 36 days and 20 hours until graduation. :)

@Renick: My son rolled his eyes and groaned when I suggested our chat-by-thoughts (which someone on this site proposed way long ago, before we swore in). It's the same reaction I got to "put these band-aids in your wallet" and "leave me a message on my cell phone so I can hear your voice whenever I'm missing you." But he left the message, and in his first letter he said he'd already used some of the band-aids and that he hoped I didn't forget our prayer call because he's been talking to me every night! LOL!!
So, I guess my annoying clinginess is best savored from afar!! I'm good with that.
