Crazy schedule. I'm realizing that leaving for bootcamp in on 14-15 December is not a good idea. Leaving for boot camp the end of Oct of beginning of Nov is the ideal time, incase anyone ever asks me!

@Exxie: I absolutely LOVE the chat thoughts idea. I will add that to my list of questions to talk to my son about. I feel like the phone is about to ring any second..... or tomorrow...  HAHA. Keep smiling!

DebBee--I hope we don't have to wait until next week :(

From what I understand they aren't following the schedule with our div. They did dummy 9mm practice on the 25th, and learned some history before that. But on 1/3 they filled out forms for dental insurance to send home.

I am so hoping for a call today....I miss my son so much today!  Coming out to this site and reading all the positive comments is much needed.  Thanks to all the ladies out here that always post something!!  Can't stop the tears today...

HAAA!  Any chance that The Prince (I LOVE that!) can "move up" the time for these chat-by-thought sessions?????  "Messages" (ha!) just aren't the same as the "live thoughts coming your way!"  :-)  Love that...

@diannep:  Your interpretation of MountainMama's song/sailor connection got me all misty!  I think you're on to something there!  The Prince and I have a standing date at 10:10 CST to chat-by-thought (he calls it our Prayer Call), but in his letters he said they've been hitting the racks earlier than that, so he's been "leaving me messages!"  Funny, right?!

@DebBee:  Slaying Dragons?  Crack me up!!  And I've been wondering how they'll make up the time for the divisions starting Day 1-1 so late in the week.  I'll have to go back to Arwen's timeline (seems like a year ago I saw that post), but i THINK she said the weeks only have 5 days.  So, they do Day 1-1, Day 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, with the weekend tucked in somewhere, then start Day 2-1 (Week 2) seven days after Day 1-1.  Does that make sense?  If that's the case, they could make up a day or two on the weekends, I suppose.

I'm sure Arwen or one of the other ExpertMoms {{wink}} have some insight about this.  I'll look forward to a wiser post than mine.

MountainMama:  If you he can't reach you at work, he can call you at home.  They get a certain amount of time to talk to as many as they want.  So if today is THE DAY for the call, I feel sure he will reach you.  Calls can come at any time...no set times...ever!
Comment by diannep on January 12, 2011 at 2:29pm
MountainMama:  Ok...I think that you hearing that song must have meant that he was thinking of you right then!  Probably how much he appreciates all you have done for him which has prepared him for bootcamp.  Don't you think?????

Making a list of ?s I need to ask him so I dont forget....Im just frustrated I have been trying to get his paper work done and school loans taken care of(he went to college last year) and Im not able to do anything all I get is "we will need to talk to him or have his signature" aggghhh....what the heck!! Who would ever think trying to pay a bill would be so much work.  Just cant wait to talk to him!!!
Comment by MountainMama(ship3 div081) on January 12, 2011 at 2:13pm
exxie, he said they started on a Tuesday. He didn't give me the exact date, but judging from the date of the letter, I'm pretty sure it was Dec. 28.  That would make today the 15th day!  Yeah!!  Maybe today.  What time do they usually get to call?  I'm worried he will call me at work and we had a "snow day" today so I'm home.  If it's after 3:30 est, it won't matter.
