Got a call from my daughter today. It was so good to hear voice. She was tired but in good spirits. She said they have a lot of SR that talk alot so they get IT alot. They start out with 1 hour call time and ended up with 36 minutes. They lost 3 minutes everytime they had to tell them to be quiet. Though I'm sure it wasn't said to them that nicely. LOL

jennnyd - is your recruit going to MA school?  I ask because that's where my son is going and I haven't heard from him yet.  Maybe that means he is also grad and go.

got a call from Kyle today! haven't recieved letters or call til now, I was so happy to hear from him. he gets 4 hrs sleep a night, he says he is troup line leader and they get alot of IT for chatty recruits. everyday someone goes to the infirmary for passing out from IT. When they march he carrys several packs on his back cause several people where having trouble carrying them, He is a grad and go, and leaves saturday morning. He sounded happy and upbeat, I told him I was keeping informed by all the moms and wives on here and he was surprised that I knew as much as I did about what was going on, I hope you all got calls from your recruits!

Ok, we got a call today.  It was so nice that we were able to ask some questions and get the answers.  He knows an Andrew who may be from Idaho?  He likes his bunkmate whose last name starts with an F.  He and his friends have always gone by last names so he has no clue about first names but will try to pay attention.  He knows Caleb and said he is pretty cool.  They are being detoxed on caffeine so only black coffee.  The only soda is coke zero.  He said food is pretty good most days but he is back to eating sweets.  I'm not sure what sweets would be since he doesn't really like them he did say he is eating cereal twice a day :-)  He sounded more tired than he did Sunday, tomorrow is day 3-1 for his group.  Loves the mail, we send sports items etc.. He did say typed letters were easier to read since they read late at night and the lighting makes it hard to read ink. The best part is he has "head" duty.  Nothing makes Mama more happy!  Hang in there ladies you will be hearing from you loved one soon.  They only send mail out on Sunday but get their mail everyday so keep sending them letters.  They love it.

Yah, got a call from Casey. Said they had to run in the snow to earn it. She sounded so good. She is going to be a grad and go and will fly out saturday morning sometimes. Of course they may get over there to the Air Port and sit and wait for a while which would be good for us. She talked alot about some of the stuff they have done whic alot I did not understand but just took it all in. She says she has made alot of friends and that the food is pretty good. It is more like home cooking. We talked alot but can not get it all in. I will update you as I recall stuff.
