We got a call!!  Blake called!!  He sounds tired to me and has a little cough.  I was just so happy to hear his voice.  He said he might not get to call again for a couple of weeks.  He said he gets letters every day, but was wondering if my brother Austin has sent him any letters (Austin is gonna get it from my mom for not writing enough!!)  He also said some of the people in his division were not able to make phone calls today because they did not pass the swimming test and were practicing.  He did not know any information about graduation, except for the date.  He made my night :)

isone...My son is in the same Div.  I probably won't get a letter until Thursday or Friday if he mailed it out on Monday.

I finally found some mom's with recruits in our sons group. Ship 03 Div 079. He told us that they hadn't started training. I hope what I have heard about the group not doing well has changed. Anyone have new information?

Ok, DebBee:  We chocolate fanatics all know that endless hours of IT would be worth it for some chocolate...but I'm not sure I would miss a call home for chocolate???  Oh...errr....maybe I would...I'm hopelessly addicted to it! HA!

My brother said the food wasn't bad and put in a little note telling my mom not to worry because he was eating his fruit and vegetables :)

Yes, Wife64:  That is the kind of stuff I'm talking about.  They also pay a pretty price if caught with candy/food in their bunks. So I just don't want anyone thinking that all of those getting "in trouble" are doing horrible things...they just have to learn to follow the rules to a "t."  The rules may seem a bit strict, but the lesson behind obeying them is a great one.

My SR said that on Christmas Eve another SR (not in his div) tried to buy a candy bar and they shut the phones down to the entire place. Turns out that's why the phone went dead in the middle of the conversation with his parents.

My son is a veggie eater....will usually choose lots of cooked vegetables over fast food.  He really liked the food in bc.
