Well today is my son's 19th birthday. No letter yet, but it generally takes two weeks to get a letter here from the US. I posted last night for all his friends to wish him a happy birthday today on his Facebook wall and leave him an encouraging note with their birthday wish. I am going to print them all out and send them to him this weekend. Lat check is there are well over 200 and counting from friends, family, former teachers and coaches and parents of his friends. I really thin ke will enjoying seeing how many people left messages. My daughter received a letter from my son yesterday and she said he wrote that he is the Laundry Petty Officer, he has lets just stay stomach/bathroom issues since he got there and thet the training is hardwork but he is having a good time. I enjoy hearing what everyone else's sons/daughters/spouses are writing as it gives me a bit of insight as to what is going on with them each day.

Great letter "waiting for you," my brother said the same thing about the first day, said it was the worst and longest day with a lot of yelling :)

Ok now i'm able to sit down and share what my husband wrote:

Friday Dec. 31, 2010

He says that he received all my letters from Dec. 14th-20th and has been reading them and enjoying the card and pictures. He's sorry about the letters jumping around, they've been sooo busy the past 3 weeks.

He really misses us but the letters I sent him give him strength to keep going.

He's learning a lot in RTC. He says that he's blown through all the tasks his RDC's put in front of him (that's my man! :) ) The first day was the worst b/c of no sleep and people yelling at you from everywhere. P-Days were extended b/c of Christmas. He passed his swim test and his written test is coming up and he's been studying on it. He's doing well on his runing and he got his blue cami's and he loves them.

He told me he reads his Bible every night (I asked him about that in one of my letters) and his walk with God is stronger than ever before :D He's only seen the sun once since he's been there and he thought of me... He told me he's sorry for not spending every moment with me and realized how much he loves me and chereishes me (I boohooed like crazy while i was reading that)

He wants me to look for apartments around his A school b/c we wont get housing b/c his school is only 3 months and also set up the account for our pay checks to come in, hopefully the 15th for the latest.

Sunday Jan. 2, 2011

He says he wants more pictures of me (i gave him pics of his daughter throughout my letters) and he wrote a whole page of how much he misses me and promises me that he will treat me better as a wife (tears flowing like a river whiler eading that)

He's the 3rd or 4th talles person in his DIV and can make his bunk for 5 1/2 mins. He found out he can shine his boots very well, he has the shiniest boots hin his DIV. One of his RDC's said he'll give a 15 min phone call to the person with the boots so shiny that he could see himself in them, he's working towards that :) He says he hasnb't been yelled at yet :) and is one of the top recruiits in his DIV, so they're ahead of the game :) but still graduating on the 18th.

The food is great and that boot camp is easier than he expected (thanks to his dad lol) he really appreciates that his dad prepared him for this, and that he;s doing so well. He says that everyone in his DIV knows me and our daughter and shares pics to them whenever he can :) even to the RDC's and brags about me to them :D

Sorry that it was long, it was so worth the wait <3

Received our first letters yesterday...one to me, his dad and his brother. YEA!! He is upbeat and positive. Said he is having a great time and not to worry about him. He has a job...EPO (education petty officer). He has to help 77 recruits in his ship & div pass their exams. He said he has made some good friends from Arizona, Alaska, Maine and Puerto Rico. If there are any moms with sons in Ship 09 Div 078 from those states please let me know, would love to chat with you.  If you haven't received a letter I hope you do soon! I hope we all receive calls soon for those of us who haven't yet. Have a blessed day eveyone. I know mine will be great!!!! I will be on cloud nine for a few days now that I have a letter!!! YEA!!
