DebBee:  The ship/div/PIR date info in the form letter should be the correct info.  I agree with Wife64.

@DebBee--thank you for your kind words and thanks right back at you for being a military wife AND mom! Maybe the computer system hasn't been updated because of the holiday stand down? I would think that if you got a letter with a Ship/Div from your son and a PIR date that it would be the correct date and just that the computer system hasn't updated yet. As for where to write, I sent all of my letters this morning to the Ship 03, Div 086 address I was given. I'm just hoping they don't get returned.

I hope I get the form letter in tomorrow's mail. I'm going back to my parents' houses for Christmas in my hometown tomorrow after work. If I don't get it tomorrow I might have to wait until next Sunday :/ I am praying he gets into one of the divisions that formed for the 2/18 PIR date as he arrived at boot camp almost two days late due to flight cancellations.

DebBee--your sons former Ship/Div are what I was given by the recruiter for my husband. Maybe when I get his form letter it will turn out that he's in the same ship as your son.

Hailey:  Only one form letter is sent out...so looks like you are the lucky one to have received it!

Comment by Sailor's Wife 64 on December 21, 2010 at 3:19pm

I think this is the group for me as my husband left on Weds, 12/15 for boot camp. The recruiter gave me Ship 03, Div 086. I can't wait to get the official form letter and know for sure when his PIR is.

Comment by Purplemom (Ship 3 Div 084) on December 21, 2010 at 2:47pm

Looks like we are ship 3 div 084 according to the recruiter. Planning to hang out here until we get the form letter. We are still waiting on the box, but as we are overseas and it is the holidays we could be waiting several weeks.
