OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I decided to make a discussion for this.  Might make gettting your info to me easier.

If you would like a nametag please post your first name and ship and division numbers for you SR.  If you missed it before, this is what it will look like.  I'd like to be able to make one for all of your loved ones coming to the meet and greet, but - I think I need to limit it to just N4M members.  It will be fun to see who we've been "talking" to, crying with, lifting up and supporting through this wonderful website!  It won't be long now!

Is this the Ramada on North Green Bay Road? We will be in Gurnee. Want to make sure we go to the right place!
MaryD, Yes the Ramada is at 200 N. GreenBay Road, Even though we are taking our GPS with us, I went crazy today printing directions to and from eveywhere on Mapquest

How will we get them?

JakesMom, I am going to give them out at the meet and greet.  Just look for the lady in my profile picture but twenty years older!
Last call for name tags.  If you haven't told me you want one yet, the time is NOW!  I only have a little bit of time to work on them tonight.  I will print some blank ones for anyone that didn't order one just in case.  So excited I can't stand myself!

Thank you so much for the name tags....
