Sometimes the gate pass has the info printed on it when you print it. Most of the time it is blank and you fill it out. I think it has a lot to do with what computer operating system you use.

Adrianamom - My son is in Div 120, your daughters brother division.  We have only received one call from him and 4 letters.  I am hoping for one more letter this week.  I think those two divisions got there later than the other divisions and are having to work their behinds off to graduate 4/1.  Just my theory but does make me feel better.  We WILL get the call after battlestations.  Hopefully, early next week!

Hang in there.  We will hear from them soon.

Thanks everyone!  @  Adrianamom 11/119 please don't get depressed, we are so close!  My oldest son received a letter from my SR today and he told him that he probably wouldn't be able to write from this point on because there is so much going on.

Please read these guidelines and follow them as it is very important and you do not want to get your sailor in trouble.  There will be people out in public watching to make sure the sailors are following the rules.

Liberty is ‘time off’ from the daily routine. Graduating Sailors will be granted liberty to go off-base during the day with their families.

  1. Graduating Sailors may not smoke, drive, or consume alcoholic beverages while on liberty.
  2. Graduating Sailors must stay within a 50-mile radius of RTC.
  3. Graduating Sailors must remain in their complete uniform while on liberty. If they are engaging in physical activity or swimming, they must be in authorized Navy issued workout gear.
  4. Liberty expires at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 8 p.m. on Sunday. No overnight liberty is authorized. Due to security checks and transit time, please allow ample time for graduating Sailors to walk back to their assigned ship prior to the end of liberty.
  5. Families may not enter the base after graduation and will need to meet graduating Sailors for liberty at the main RTC gate.
  6. Graduating Sailors departing RTC for follow-on training the same day as graduation or in a duty status will be granted limited on-base liberty.
  7. Graduating Sailors receive an in-depth liberty briefing prior to their graduation day.

HooYah!  Happy Birthday Marmee... today is my SRs 25th Birthday!  So, since I can't say it to him, I say it again to you "Happy Birthday"!  His little sister is 22 years old today as well, and we just took her out to dinner.  Adrianamom... remember, we only get 3 phone calls unless they win an award or honor (or early on, need additional information). The letters get tougher for them to write because they are studying so hard and learning to work together as a team. I would think it is even harder for the women to write home than the men. I know it has been difficult for me to write anything to him this past week. We did send some b-day cards!  We have filled out our Gate Pass!! HooYah!

Okay it has been a while since mine was printed, i do not think it has your recruits info on it.

For those of you driving double check that you have your insurance, registration and drivers license. They will stop writing to you at 10 days out.  The sailors will fly out at different times depending on seats available on flights, some may fly out on Sunday or later, it can change.
