claysgirl--The moms i met on my sons PIR group are some of the best friends i have today. I kept my PIR group open and changed the title to "Alumni" and there are about 10 of us that still post on it everyday. We talk about everything from dinner, to our Sailors getting tattoos...lol (which, be prepared ladies, they ALL seem to get them after BC...even the girls) My son had two going in, so it was no big deal to me. We also friended each other on FB and we post and chat EVERY single day. Its like a 'sisterhood', and we consider each other family, honestly. We formed a bond from this experience that no one else can relate too....:))

Clay'sGirl - join up with the group where your sailor will be going to A School and his job and you will meet even more great people to support you on this journey.

And guys I already have most of you as friends on here but if I dont already please add me so we can keep in touch after this chapter comes to an end. Its weird but even though i've never 'met' any of you I think we've witnessed an incredible time in each others lives and I wish nothing but the best for your Sailors!!! :)

quiltblue:  No, your Captains Cup is next Sat.  PIR 3/25 had theirs yesterday.

And some have already gone through BattleStations by Captains Cup (the ones who go Wed or Thurs nights).

Comment by quiltblue on March 20, 2011 at 8:07pm
janlee... if Battlestations is next Thursday-Friday for our division, would that mean that the Captains cup was yesterday then? I am confused again.
Comment by diannep on March 20, 2011 at 7:36pm
Did anyone talk to their SRs this weekend and ask about BattleStations dates? We still don't have all dates.  Post if you got some.  Thanks!

Captain's Cup - On the Saturday before Battle Stations, all divisions graduating together compete for the Captain's Cup. Captain's Cup is basically a field day, with competitions in sit ups, push ups, running, throwing, swimming, obstacle courses, relays, and more. It's a fun day, and winning the Captain's Cup is a matter of great pride to the winning division.

The Captains Cup sounds like it is going to be alot of fun for the guys. It will be a good break for them!
