cruz that would be great! janlee neither me or my finacee's mom received an form letter so would that be a problem at PIR?

Wow===only 14 days left for this group!!! So close!.

Remember, on Monday or Tuesday...you can start printing out your parking passes. The website and instructions will be on your form letter. It wouldnt hurt to print out an extra one (or two) in case you forget it back at the room, or someone who may be traveling with you, but in a separate vehicle needs one. The best thing to do is stick it on your dashboard where it can easily be seen thru the windshield when pulling up to the gate. It will also tell you that you may need auto registration, but if youre renting a car, your rental agreement will be sufficient.

Chelsea I booked my flight with SouthWest! The hotel is one on base it called the Navy Gateway Suites I think the rooms were about $35/38 a night. It was the best deal I found. I can give you the number later tonight if you need it. I am at work right now. I just booked two rooms a few days ago. One for me and the other for my mother inlaw. Let me know if you need the number. I hope this helps :)

The Navy Lodge is the closest one. I didnt stay there, but from what ive heard the rooms are well equipped. Most of the hotels up there are close to the base. We stayed at the Ramada and it was 4 miles away. In the brochure that came with the form letter, there is a list of hotels in the area with all their info (shuttle service, ammenities, etc...). You can also google "hotels in Waukegan IL" (the name of the town in GL's) and scroll thru them also...:)

Thanks Janlee& Claysgirl........ I will let my mom know that. What are some good hotels really close?

Chelsea---the RDC's have a lot of 'tricks' up there sleeves as to how to whip the divisions into shape and start functioning as a team. That is a common strategy (threatening to be held back), this info should not be passed onto the recruits, as it can defeat the purpose of what they are tying to accomplish in there. Its rare for a whole division to get set back. If a particular recuit fails the required tests...then there is a chance for that recruit to be set back. That DOES happen.

You should continue to make your travel plans as scheduled, and ..as claysgirl explained..SW Airlines allows you to switch your dates at no cost, and just about every hotel in GL's allows cancellations right up until the very day of....:))

Chelsea I always recommend buying with Southwest. We bought ours and were originally gonna fly out Mon. After we found out he was Grad N Go I changed my flight to Sat night. If you have to change it you can do it yourself from the homepage and only pay the flight difference (which for me was nothing I did aneven exchange) they're the only ones ive found that you can do it with right up until you leave.

Has anyone from div117 already purchased their airline tickets? If so what airline? My mom& I are attending PIR but don't know if we should purchase tickets or not because my fiancee was saying how his div MIGHT be held back two weeks for something I don't know lol. But we were wondering if we should purchase them now& what is a good car rental place& a good hotel close to PIR? Thanks.
