Okay ladies and gentlemen I expect to see the "I'm a Sailor" posts any time now from the divisions that went through last night. Enjoy your phone calls.

I would also like to send a thank you out to the RDC's for their hard work and dedication to our sons and daughters.

I do have a bit of sad news to share. I will not be able to attend the PIR. It breaks my heart because I was so looking forward to going and seeing Logan and meeting as many of you as I could. They are going to take as many pictures and video as they can to share with me. I have known for a couple of weeks now but I didn’t want to post it until I was able to talk with Logan first. He was so understanding when I had to share this with him. It came out of the blue but and it has given me a couple of weeks to process and accept that I can’t be there for this great event. My husband, daughter and Logan's girlfriend are still able to go so I am glad that at least he will have them there to share his time with.

I will be with all of you in spirit. I am so glad to have spent these last few weeks with you all and look forward to continued contact.

My son will be headed to Pensacola too. Have you heard when the flight is? When I spoke to him on Friday after BS, he said he would find out flight info on Wednesday.
Comment by Doren's Mom on April 13, 2010 at 11:30am
I agree screeminmomma. My son spoke well of his RDC who ran with him to help him pick up his pace as he prepared for the run test.
