Congrats to all the new sailors and their parents!!!
jentkd-- love the letter, how funny! It will be interesting to see how the've changed. My son's last letter said he had to get new shirts because his chest is now 57 1/2 inches ( My thought was Holy Cow he really is a Gorilla :))
Can't wait for the phone call Wednesday praying hard for 161-162!
Carolinamom- I hope you hear something soon, sorry I can't help you :(

Oh and I forgot, they don't get another call until they are finished and can make the I am a Sailor, so you are left hanging, but I guarantee it is going to work out. I know from experience with my son and I was left hanging for 3 days. No call right now is good news, believe it or not.

Don't panic. Do you remember when they moved my son to Div 160 for 24 hours so he could re-take a test? He was in Div 158, went to Div 160, then back to Div 158. They do that so as to give them ample time to get it all done. It will work out fine.

Hi everone, I'm at a loss here, my son called Friday but the connection was so poor I could barely hear him even after repeated tries. He had pink eye and they pulled him out of his division 158 BS. He said they moved him to 922 (I think) and if he was better he'd do BS with them last night. As of 7:50 North Carolina time I still haven't heard from him. Any ideas anybody? It's hard enough that he switched divisions so late in the process, but not being able to hear him I'm not sure what's going on....Thanks

Dear Jentk'd, That is hilarious! You are not going to recognize your son! WOW what a change that is going to be for him. Such a great experience. Too bad they don't perform to our commands like that .... LOL!

Div 162 Just got a letter from my son (written on 4/8) it was his last chance to pass the mile and half. He was at the starting line and he bent over to pray while at the starting line. The person (female) in charge yelled over the loud speaker "hey gigantor (my son is 6'9") are you praying". My son said "h**l yes, I don't want to stick around for 2 more weeks looking at these ugly mugs"... LOL . So he made his run with 25 seconds to spare and got a standing ovation from his division.... they were happy until it sunk in that they had to now run and study for the next test... LOL

My son also mentioned he has lost 43 lbs and how much his life has changed. His letter was so positve!! He also said P.S. the gas chamber sucked!! LOL

Just something funny to share until I find out they passed their BS tomorrow, can't wait until Thursday when we fly out of AZ to Chicago.. WOOT!!
