Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Hank(Ship04Div161) on March 9, 2010 at 9:14pm: Big Mike's Mom, I see your son will be heading to "Rotten Gtoton" he'll like it there, lot's of military with the sub base as well as the Coast Guard Acadamy acrosss the river. I spent 4 yrs up that way and thats where I met my wife of 26 yrs.

You are welcome to join the rest of us ..... waiting, wondering, praying, and supporting each other. I cannot wait to meet all of you at the Ramada for graduation. But we have a ways to go yet and our recruits are probably doing fine even though it is hard, but the Navy is making men of our boys!
