proud ..

My son's letter today said his div (so yours too) is having trouble following 1 leader. They keep getting in trouble and have to do 8 count body builders in 'IT" Intense Training' then he drew me stick figures for the exercise. lol.

I got a 3 minute phone call from my son yesterday. Apparently I was last on the list lol. He sounded good until he heard his brother (the 6 year old shadow) then I heard sniffles. His brother has been drawing pictures while I've been writing. I asked if anyone wasn't getting letters and he gave us a name. Right away my lil guy wrote two notes to him saying 'poor guy, doesn't get any letters.' I'm sure they will get a kick out of that. Then I got a letter today. I totally wasn't expecting it. His dad and I figured he'd never write lol. He said to keep the mail coming. So next week I am going to have his little brothers class sign a smallish poster and fold it up to send to the whole 'ship.' I can't wait to see how that goes! (ship 09 div 140)

I am still bummed he missed talking to us yesterday. He tried us, his sister and his recruiter and had to leave messages. I dont know when will be the next time they can call. did they talk about passing any tests? Did they talk about the weather? just anything you can share would help me know how they are doing. Got to talk to my sr for about 45 minutes today!! We were at the mall and I missed his first call, then while listening to the message from that one he called again but I don't know how to switch over to answer so  I missed that one too! Thank goodness he called a third time!!! He sounded WONDERFUL!

I am curious as to how long ship 3 div 143 phone calls were...  were they all the same amount of time?
Comment by janlee on March 17, 2011 at 5:39pm
Phone calls are bittersweet. Its also that way on their end also. Ive heard of recruits being upset when they get back to their ships after calls. Its important to end your calls on an 'upbeat' note (easier said than done..i know). Dont they sound different?!!. They sound so mature and 'business like'..wait until you SEE them, they will look SO beautiful. Nothing could have prepared me for how good my son was going to look...ahhh i miss him..:))
