Got a letter from my SR ship 03 div 144 today! He sounded well...said they're heading into a week of testing etc...It always makes my day to hear from him...he said he loves mail and that I could write as much as I wanted..and to share his address...LOL...that tells me how important it is to hear from home. I miss him! Honestly I felt like I could hear the change already in his letter...I read a post here were a wife hoped they didn't change her husband too much...I'm hoping that too about my son....

I did get a 5 min call from my husband earlier today and i feel even sadder speaking with him. He sounded a little down but doing okay. A guy started to yell at him to get off the phone. He said they do not tell him a whole lot about the graduation or if i can go with him to the airport to see him off to florida. He said they do alot of studying and marching.  I hope he is not too changed when he gets out of there. I am so very proud of doing this.

@Janlee: I know its just hard. But I think someone from his division did get a call, it was short, because they were getting in trouble.

@bngivn: I can't take any uneccessary delays...lol

CDanileel- I haven't heard anything either. Hoping it's just our mail that is slow...
Comment by janlee on March 16, 2011 at 11:44pm
cdaniell- sometimes they let the divisions call 2 at a time. depending on time restraints. Has anyone else in your division gotten a call? If not, maybe their division hasnt made calls home yet. I know its frustrating. The RDC's know what they are doing. Just when the recruits are losing steam and us parents /wives/ etc...have had enough 'waiting', and think we cant take it another minute...they let them make their calls. Hang in there...:(

I still haven't gotten a call. I didn't get a letter either today. I am hoping our mail was just delayed. But in my BF's last letter he did mention his div (141) has been getting in trouble so who knows when I will get a call. :(

OK...sorry..i just posted the questionare above for everyone who thinks their SR will be a Saturday departure. I thought i already posted it but i was mistaken. Just print it out and mail it to them with your next letter. They can keep it in their drawer until they get their flight info. Then they can fill it out for you and put it in there wallets and give it to you at PIR so you have the info you need to meet them at the airport..

If your SR is a saturday departure...dont forget, we posted a questionare above for them to fill out and hand to you with all the flight info on it for the airport. It makes it easy to have everything written on one piece of paper, and its easier for them to just fill it out as they get the info. If they are moving across the street to GL's Aschool, there is a good chance you will see them the weekend.
