They usually find out about grad and Go about half way through but that is not set in stone. They can really find out at any time. The best thing to do is plan to be there the whole weekend just in case they are not Grad and Go and if they are you can use that time to do some site seeing. I do believe South West is the only airline that allows changes in flights without a fee and most of the hotels there allow changes in reservations up until the day of arrival with no fee.

Does anyone know when they find out if they will be grad and go or not?

bn4givn - how funny!  I know this is the best thing that will every happen to him and just can not wait till 4/22 to see what other transformations will take place.

JessicaB - thanks too for the info about the wheel chair.  We already booked our hotel and are only 10 min away so the plan is to be there at 7.

Family and friends will be directed to general parking at the Chapel lot, which is about  3 city blocks from the site of graduation.

Another parking lot , about 1 city block, is available for those with handicap stickers or hangaers

Most hotel shuttles terminate at the visitors center which is about 1/2 mile walk to graduation site

You can't get much closer to the PIR hall but you can drop her off closer to where you check in. They do have wheelchairs available so maybe it would be a good idea to use one of those to get her to and from the PIR hall. It is quite a walk for someone in her condition.

Also, my sailor was in the 900 div as well and she was in the choir ;-) It was amazing to hear her sing at PIR. I will never forget that as long as I live.

Now that we have all found each other again...I should have 2 extra place on my son's list.( unless he has promised them to someone else there alreaady)  It will just be myself and his best friend. Hubby doesn't have any days off and it is pretty$$$ to get there from TX.

Linda d- I "met" another mom on here the other night and through the course of emails we both said the same thing about their handwriting! I had to look at it again and agiain to make sure it was his!

Hello fellow moms of PIR 4/22.  I am glad I found you as well.  I do not get to check to often but love to follow the group.  I learn a lot since I have not heard from my son yet except for his from letter which I just got this past Thursday.  I was pleasantly surprised to see the nice printing (I have never seen this in all his school years).  In just one week, he has already begun to transform!  LOL  He wrote me 2 lines out of 4 and the jest of it was to make sure I put his address on FB and e-mail others.  I am anxious to know what he is learning in is division as I found out from others it is a performing group.  We talked about his trying out to sing so hopes he gets to do it.  I miss him at our Sunday Mass in choir where we both sing.  I live in Wisconsin so hope we can also get 2 extra tickets as my husband is giving up his seat for my mother, who is 88.  Does anyone know if it is a long walk from parking garage to the seats as she has arthritis and uses a walker as her back gets too tired walking too far?  Can she be dropped off or we have a handicap sticker - can that get us closer for her?

Go ahead and post the divisions up above that you want. That will be fine.
