I was out of town for work today and got my call about 4 hrs ago while I was driving home.  He said "I made it" and then I made sure that meant he was a sailor.  He sounded good but he is sick again - did battlestations with a fever.  He said Div 142 did awesome! We talked about 20 minutes before I told him to call his father, brothers and sister.  No one was in the same place, but he did get to talk to everyone for a few minutes.  He said he had eaten about a pound of M & Ms and lots of donuts!

Freebird - Congratulations on the call from your daughter! I will also try to get some pictures for you.

Congratulations to everyone who has a sailor tonight!  My blue candle is burning for the divisions doing battlestations tonight!

cjasmin518 - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION!!!!!  I've been thinking, i hope he tells us before we can't cancel the hotel reservations!  Josh doesn't have the best track record to communicating to his "parental units" :)  Although we have received letter - again, thank you for sharing, i'll be able to breathe over the weekend.

Proud: I know I could not help but laugh when my son called me today, (I knew he was tired), because he said HI mom how are you? I said fine. I said how are you? He said tired. I said.....well....is there something you need to tell me.  He said..haha right. Then he told me.

FreeBird: that phone call was the beginning of a whole new relationship. So priceless.

Lala: Ohhh how that would be so cool to see our Sailors participate in the Captains Cup. Maybe we can find some pictures on Facebook.

My son called me right at noon on the dot with the call. Funny thing is he never said the phrase Im a Sailor. First thing he said was its so good to hear your voice and I said me too and then I said are you suppose to tell me something and he said I passed my test and then I said are you a sailor and he said yes LOL

It was great hearing from him. We are so proud of him and now wishing this week will go by in a flash so I can see him face to face. Congrats to all.
