Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

For those who ordered or paid recently many of your ribbons were shipped yesterday and many more going out today. You will have them in a few days. :-D

Waiting for Battlestations. She told me to waiting for her "I'm a SAILOR" call Friday about 1300 or 1400 hours. Praying for all the recruits.

Comment by proud4son85 on April 12, 2011 at 10:03pm: I was just bringing him clothes to wear in hotel so he can relax. He has not givien us any details about after boot camp. I think he is just concentrating on getting out of boot camo. He hasnt called so I am guessing he is passing all his tests. I just want the call on Friday. His "A" school in in GL and conflicts of how long it is for but no worries will find out details when we see him next week.
