I got a letter yesterday (4 actually - but read div 140 for more info on that).

My recruit says today is the big day for the PFA and he needs to pass the running or be held back. I'm rooting for him. Can't wait to see him in 2 weeks!

Ask in letters mailed this week or if you receive a call about BattleStations dates. This group should be starting them next Thurs, the 14th.  So if you get a call this weekend, please ask for your SR's division date and post.  There are 11 divisions in this group so we have alot of divisions to schedule!  Post in the BattleStations discussion group above too.  Thanks!

J'sMom:  You may want to ask this on the Pensacola site...or maybe Lala or Jessica has the answer since I believe both of their sailors were in Pensacola.  But I think they can take these things with them.  It will allow you to stay in touch with them as they travel too. I didn't get to meet my son at the airport....so he traveled without these things and just used his phone card or borrowed someone's cell to call me.  I mailed his things to him later at A School.

Ann - being from Iowa I think it sounds like a heat wave with mid 50's to high 30's. Weather at this time of the year can have huge varients 80's to 20's, we just take it one day at a time. It won't be below zero hopefully. The secret to success is layering clothes. I am also hopeful that there will not be snow or ice to deal with during this time. Hope this helps and the cold isn't able to chase you away.

The average temps for that time of year are in the mid 50's, low in the mid to highr 30's. Hope this helps and that you get to go!

Finally received another letter, yeah!  My son says they had pictures this week and tests on Tuesday.  He thought they may get a phone call since the laundry inspection was "perfect" but sigh, it's 10 pm and no call. His letter was positive and he's looking forward to seeing us a graduation :-) ship 03, div. 147, 13 more days, but who's counting....
