I guess some of you are asleep for the night.  I am thinking this is where I will be (PIR 4/8)..but, I am on the West Coast and did not get a box today...fingers are crossed for tomorrow.  Trying to be a patient mom and not bother the recruiter for his address.  Sure looking forward to hearing something.

Girls, I think maybe we are going to need some advice, or at least I AM.haha  Are we just going to confuse each other by using their ship/div 3#s and/or their PIR dates. what do yiou think should one of us kinda watch over one group and the other for the second.  Cause I think I have already caused some confusion.  Or maybe just confused myself!  Whoa, must be time to go to bed.

Hello everyone, I had a feeling this group might form today :-) I know some of you may already know who I am because you are in the 4/1 group as well. For the rest of you I am here like JessicaB and Diannep to help answer questions or anything else you need to make this journey easier for you. I have been on this site almost a year. My daughter joined last April and left for boot camp in May. She is already finished with A and C-school and is an AO with a squadron in VA. My son-in-law is also in the Navy and just finished A-school and joined my daughter in VA. My daughter was in the 900 (preforming) division in the choir, She was a grad and go. We have had many many different experiences with 2 sailors in so if you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to ask. There are no dumb questions so ask away. You may also check out my page for more info and pictures and send me a friend request if you want. I am here every day and Dianne, Jessica or myself are usually on each PIR group page several times a day to answer any questions that come up.

I will say for now the first couple of weeks are the hardest, hang in there it will get better and get busy writing those letters. They are so important to the recruits. Sometimes a letter from home may be the one thing that makes them feel like they can get through another day. For those who don't know me I am Lora aka Lala the PIR Ribbon Queen, Welcome!!!

A couple of you mentioned the odd stack of papers in their box.  I went to my daughter's travel briefing and what they do is....One recruit (highest ranking and oldest) is responsible for carrying all of the official records of the recruits that are traveling together.  The other recruits are given a copy of their official records "just in case" they need them.  They are told to hold on to them until at least they get to GL.  They can then keep them there or send them home in their box.
