Hi I am new here and was hoping to interact with others. My son left 2/7/11. I still have not spoke to him. I am praying he is ok and adjusting to bootcamp.

I do enjoy reading everyone's updates. There are a few of us HM mom's that still communicate regularly because our son's are together in San Antoino in A school. Our boys will graduate July 18th and most have decided to go to C-School, from what I gather. My son signed up for a Surgery Technician. His C-school starts around mid August and he will be staying in San Antonio. Since I am in Houston, that is a very good thing for me. As soon as they received their orders for C-school, most of them learned that there was a quad zero position available in Italy for 3 years. It bummed most of them out, but oh well. My son does get down from time to time around all of the studying and limited time, but overall, he seems happy.
He plans to come home for a while between schools and I know that he is looking forward to that. It will be nice to have him home for a short while.
Hope you all are doing well. I like reading the updates so i hope that more people post some.
Take care.
My son came home this weekend and is doing so wonderul. Loves the Navy, stationed in San Diego and will report to the Carl Vinson. Just an hour away from home. All my prayers have been answered. I hope everyone is well and if your sailor hasn't come yet-hope they do soon.
So wonderful to read about how much our sailors truely love what they've chosen to do.
The DVD and Keel came this week however....Even though I paid for it, my son had it mailed to his Dad's house. I doubt I will get my hands on it. I'll have to bug the heck out of him to get it.
so...if I haven't received one who do I contact to order one?
My sailors is doing great! Got the orders he was hoping for. He'll finally finish A school June 10th. Can't wait to see him...=)
