Have your son send his address anyway and send him letters, boxes of goodies from home, etc. stuff that you can not get in a text or phone call.

Mumzie~I am very interested! (please forgive me "PM" is just not registering in my brain a the moment??  Help me out here)

Our son is all settled in CT.  Now I email/text everyday.  He wont even bother giving me the address...as he is so available.  Waiting on today's grads to get there so they finally have enough to start a class, I am under that impression anyway.

His graduation press release was in our hometown paper today.  They made us relive our wonderful trip of just 2 weeks ago.

I feel very odd not writing everyday. Having somone to send letters to would be wonderful.  Please contact me, I would love to help.

LADIES!  I have a big opportunity for you if you are so inclined.  I am involved in an organization called Cypress Cares http://www.cypress-cares.org/ .  It is a nonprofit designed to support our troops, coincidentally started by a woman in my neighborhood.  I have been a supporter for a number of years.  She has asked if I wanted to help adopt some sailors on a ship - there are 37 on one ship that are not getting any mail or packages or support from anyone at all.  She has finally received permission to release the names to me.  I am asking you.  Are you interested in adopting a sailor thru this group?  Please PM me.  This involves a letter a week and perhaps a package a month.  It is not a huge commitment but it will go a LONG way!  Check out the group for yourself.

I must agree ... Graduation was AWESOME!  It was so amazing when I finally could locate him when his Division marched in.  Everybody was standing and I am a bit short so it was a bit of a struggle.  He sure changed a lot ... lost about 15 lbs. and was definately more serious.  He left on Sunday after PIR for Pensacola.  I think he is really enjoying it.  He got to go to the beach on Saturday 4/16.  What a nice change from Great Lakes!  I hope everybody is doing well!  Keep in touch!

Proud - where is he stationed now?  What is an FC?  That is very exciting that you get to move there - where ever there is!  The girls need to be with their daddy!

My husband starts his classes today, hes an FC. We too went to the mall the Saturday after PIR and got new phones. Its so nice being able to talk everyday. We (me and my 2 daughters) move there next month and will be living at The Reserve at Eagle Ridge apartments. I can't wait!

My son wanted a phone after PiR so when we were able to get him, we went to the mall and got him a new phone. I  brought his old one with  us to GL so  that he was able to get some of his phone numbers. My son is staying in GL and also started school yesterday. He did mention that he would have to change his room also. I felt so bad that we didn't get to sit with our division at PIR! We were in the balcony. It was hubbys fault I wanted to leave our hotel early! So glad that my sailor can call and text me now!

I love the phone calls to. He leaves me comments on FB very early in the morning. My son stayed in GL for A school and started yesterday, well somewhat. Tonight he moves to his new room. PIR was amazing!!! I can't stop looking at the pictures and videos.

My son arrived in San Antonio for Hospital Corspmans school on Saturday immediatly following PIR.  We spent a very relaxing Friday in the hotel room.  My son just wanted to relax and chat online with his friends. We arrived to the airport bright and early to meet our son for his flight to SA. It was short but, we took advantage of every possible moment we were able to spend together.

A school classes do not start till 4/26.  He has participated in a building dedication ceremony to for fallen corpsman. I have only talked with him by texting.  Patiently, waiting for a phone call.  He is enjoying a "little too much" liberty and meeting new friends.  I look foward to classes starting so he can get down to business.

My son is still in Great Lakes, but I'm not sure they have a name or group letter for Pre/BUD/S-does anyone know?  I've emailed him, but he's not online very often. At least I have a new mailing address!
