I know right? I have my phone charging right beside me.. (since i had in on the bed next to me all night. I didnt want to take a chance of him calling and my battery to start blinking!) well, it just lit up and I jumped! (it only did it though to tell me "Battery Charged") DARN IT!!

I'm worried, cause I never sent him a second calling card after he only got to make one 30 minute call (before Saturday) all of bootcamp. But, then it occured to me that Saturday I got to talk to him almost 1 hour and he was going to call a couple of more people after we hung up since they had earned 4 hours of rec time!! What if he doesn't have any time left on his calling card!!!
< screams> I can't worry about that now!! I actually stayed home from work today. I didn't want to take a chance of missing the call (and I had the extra time to take off)

Good Luck Mom's, Wives, Fiances, Loved Ones waiting on our call and to all of those that still have upcoming BS's to do!

See you guys Thursday!

Oh My Goodness--2 Days til PIR-- My son became ill after BS--I pray he is feeling better. He is Ship 03 Div 145 and I guess the "bug" went around the entire division. I hope they have gotten rid of it before we all get there!!! I can't wait!!!!

TexasBonBon: Look on www.mwrgl.com (Morale, Welfare, Recreation). This site is all about things to do while in GL. My son should nearing the end of BS right now! I'll keep your son & the others in my prayers tonight. I can't wait for the phone to ring!!

Hi Texas BonBon....MWR stands for morale, welfare and recreation. I think the website is www.mwrgl.com. They sponsor all kinds of programs for the base, from what I can tell. If that's not the correct website, google it. I can't remember how I found it. I think there's a link to it on the RTC website. Good luck to your SR tonight! Mine I think did BS last night. I'm hoping for the best.

kathyl: I was just thinking the same thing... staying up late putting finishing touches on projects, helping study for tests, etc. I know they are doing well, just can't wait for the call!

Thanks to everyone for Jon's birthday wishes! I ate a cupcake in his honor - yum :) As everyone has expressed - this is a tough and exciting night for our recruits and my thoughts are with each and every one of you and your recruits. I just know they will work their tails off for that call tomorrow. What an emotional ride they have taken (us too!)- growth and experience that will be talked about for the rest of their lives! God Bless !
