Ship 3/Div 145, My son Jack and Tinker have become friends Is Tinker the one hurt? Man we are winding down aren't we. When is battle stations, anyone know? His sister got a letter Friday, she was just as excited to hear from him as I am sure he was to hear from her. I saw one of his ex-co-workers last night and they got him a card and had a bunch of people sign it. He is gonna be THRILLED to get that one.

Kanga, Marlin Spike is where they practice getting the ship ready to leave and docking it back. They also do man overboard, etc. I didn't know either, but I looked it up after my son mentioned it. He wrote in his letter this week that it was fun. He was really pleased because they got a 9.0 overall. The instructor told them they did a 9.5 on the man overboard. Haven't heard about ship 03 division 148.

Grrrr See what I mean Laura, I was typing another comment and I lost it so here I go typing it again. I have sent out friend request to make the spreadsheet easier to do. You will need to accept me as a friend, see instructions below. It is pretty cool to have it all together, but I am waiting on quite a few replies so it may be a day or so. I may be attending Divorce Court instead of PIR. : )

Laura, you are not dumb, this gets confusing especially to those of us that never used this kind of site before. I sent you a friend request. Wen you receive it, look on the right side of your page where it says inbox. Click on friends. Then it will ask you to accept me. I will send you the info and instructions on how to go from there. It is easier if you copy it and past it in a reply. If you don't know who to do that, let me know when you accept and I will walk you through it. Thanks!

I will wear dress pants but we can't decide whether to bring suit or sport jacket and tie for hubby.
Comment by proudWImom on March 28, 2010 at 12:27am
I have heard and seen pictures of them wearing just about everything. My husband will probably wear nice pants and shirt, sweater and a tie most likely. My daughter and I will be in dresses or dress pants depending on the weather. What are you planing on wearing?
Comment by Ann on March 28, 2010 at 12:22am
I have seen things about what ladies will wear to graduation, but what are husbands, fathers, men folk to wear. Suits, ties, sportcoat, no tie. Anyone?

He's on Ship 03/Div 145. Heading to San Diego as a Grad and Go. I agree I can't wait for the "I'm a sailor" call. I am so very proud to be a Navy Mom!!

Hi All,

We received a surprise phone call from our son while we were out to dinner celebrating my husbands birthday today!! He needed to know exactly who was coming to PIR since there are 6 of us and only 4 can be on the list. His 2 older brothers have work committments so it won't be until last minute if they can surprise him by being able to attend.
Ship 03/Div 146 N4Ms ~ Now what all of you want to know....this week went well. He said the gas chamber wasn't as bad as he expected it to be. They have the fire extinguishing on Tuesday and Battlestations on Thursday. He said everyone in his division is doing great and can't wait to call home as a sailor. Call was short and sweet along with being the best b-day gift for his dad, being able to hear his voice. TJs mom

Lori I sent my son a musical card ("We are Family") for Valentines and everyone just looked at him and cracked up. With no ipods I'm sure it's a hit:)
